Description

Dioscorea elephantipesAn Arium favorite. A beautiful caudiciform plant that is native to South Africa. The fissured surface resembles an elephant's foot, and that is where it gets it's nickname from! It is one known to go dormant in U. S. climates during the winter where it will lose all of it's leaves and regrow them in the spring! Care: These will do best in bright indirect light. They do not like too much share though! It is important to not overwater during the winter

Design by Arium's co-owner: Anthony Sanchez

Each piece is handmade in small batches by Kayla Swanson here in Portland

When re-potting use an all purpose soil medium

use an all-purpose soil and use care to not burry the rhizomes

Meet Cr8 // Edition 02

A very interesting cultivar of a classic houseplant

They can show signs of wilting when they are thirsty

They have very fragrant blooms

These are not one to overwater or underwater

Like most peperomia

This cultivar is an odd version of the species Hoya carnosa
