GSWR “Port Road” StationThis kit represents a stone built GSWR station. It is based on Newton Stewart which opened in 1860. Newton Stewart lay on the famous Port Road line running from Dumfries to Stranraer. It was a junction station for the Whithorn branch. The station was significantly extended in 1896. (The extended Newton Stewart Station is available as a separate kit.) The kit has an option to include a front porch which was added in 1893. Thanks are given to Andrew
