varvar brew ghost elephant 2025The second release of Ghost Elephant Imperial Stout. We aged it again in a cask from Caol Ila peated Scotch whisky from the island of Islay. But this time, it was not red wine, but noble Oloroso Sherry, in addition to the whisky. The aroma is delicately smoky, with notes of iodine, seaweed, prunes, raisins and wood. The taste is soft, balanced, with a slight sweetness and a deep aftertaste.
