Kilchoman 100% Islay 10th EditionIslay Single Malt Scotch Whisky Distillery Bottling 70cl 50% The 2020 release of the Kilchoman 100% Islay is here. This is the 10th release and like the other, this is a limited edition run that has been crafted using barley grown in the fertile fields surrounding the distillery. The 100% islay 10th Edition was distilled from 2007, 2009 & 2010 harvests before being matured for a minimum of 9 years in 39 Bourbon barrels & 2 Oloroso Sherry Casks.

The label on this edition suggests it dates from the late 1990s or early 2000s

This is a rather unique release by Aberfeldy

and at the time this whisky was bottled the company owned Glengoyne and was itself part-owned by Edrington forerunner Highland Distilleries

A 1997 16 year old Glengoyne from a refill hogshead bottled by Hunter Laing in 2014 as part of their Old Malt Cask range
