Copper ("Spinel"-twin)
Description
Copper ("Spinel"-twin)This is a classic example of what a "Spinel" twinned Copper should look like. The piece has a beautiful mixture of the elongated form of the twin itself which plays beautifully against the smooth outer octahedral crystal faces. If you look to the center, you will see the concave "channels" that run the length of the specimen, these are essentially the contact planes where the crystals are twinned together. The piece is doubly terminated with no damage
Some of the crystals are broken
